TOPIC: Introduction to Computer Network: Internet II: e-mail creation and familiarization

 OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, you should be able to:

1.     Define e-mail

2.     Create an email

Introduction 

e-mail is a system for sending and receiving messages electronically over the internet. It allows messages to be sent between computers just like the traditional system allows letters to be sent between postal addresses.

Creating an email account

To  create a free account with yahoo mail for example

1.     Open internet explorer and type “mail.yahoo.com” in the address bar.

2.     On the yahoo mail webpage, click on “sign up” to create new account. A new page will load.

3.     Fill out the form on the new page and follow the instructions for creating a new account that are outlined on the page.

 Note:

You will be required to provide a unique email address (one that is not already being used by someone else). Also you should choose a password that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.

User programs effectively use file operations through appropriate programming language syntax. The file management system manages the independent files and acts as the software interfaces between the user programs and file operations.
